Rooftop Revue is a live music series on a private rooftop in the Junction neighbourhood (Keele and Dundas), Toronto, ON. The series is BYOB and there are only 30 seats per show. The fourth Rooftop Revue of 2023 features Maya Killtron, a powerhouse multi-hyphenate and Canada’s queen of Boogie, along with laaain, an electronic exploration by composer and producer La-Nai Gabriel.

Maya Killtron, powerhouse multi-hyphenate and Canada’s Queen of Boogie. Her vibrant style and lush upbeat take on Modern Boogie and 80’s inspired funk have landed her features in Noisey, Earmilk, and Huffington Post. Singles. Collaborations have appeared in episodes of Broad City and Kim’s Convenience. Her vinyl 45’s and LP’s have sold out to collectors and boutique record shops around the world.
Not only a solo artist Maya is a long standing fixture in Canadian music. She is the go-to songwriter, producer, arranger and touring musician for Canadian and International artists including Juno winners The Arkells and Haviah Mighty. Her string quartet Bowed Arts patners with brands like Sephora, SOHO House and TIFF for boutique performance experiences across the country.
The multifaceted Killtron released her sophomore album Persimmon in the fall of 2022. Partnering with producers like HiFiLo and UK’s Format440, Maya delights listeners to the full breadth of her musical capabilities as singer, violinist, writer, producer, composer & arranger. Singles are currently featured on editorial playlists and vinyl is now available worldwide.
After her debut international performance in Tallinn, Estonia Maya is kicking off the Canadian festival season 2023 as a headliner for the Toronto Jazz Festival and Battle 416 at Yonge & Dundas Square.
laaain
laaain is an electronic exploration by composer and producer La-Nai Gabriel. Created as a way to explore other avenues of her creativity as a composer and performer, laaain brings together all of La-Nai’s unique talents as a multi-instrumentalist and producer. She tackles themes that are pertinent to her life as a queer Black woman -- self care, social justice, found family, and love.
